Penny Rug E PATTERN for your SEWING pleasure. The PATTERN includes a COLOR PHOTO ~ FULL SIZE PATTERN ~ COMPLETE INSTRUCTIONS as well as THE BASICS~ my guide to working with wool to make lots of different penny rug goodies! It measures a full 14" in diameter and is up to
four layers thick making it nice and sturdy. The design layer features a handsome black and white cat with big gold eyes sitting on a table top keeping a watch over the two blue flower pots that feature red hearts as well as red and gold flowers with moss and bright green leaves. The table top is covered with a brown and gold "table cloth". The designs are sewn to a tan wool background layer which is backed with a black layer that "frames" the design. You will use cream and black embroidery floss to attach each design piece to the background with lots of EASY hand sewn blanket and running stitches. What a pretty mat this is! It would be the perfect addition to your penny rug collection to accent your primitive home!
