This gorgeous fleece is solid black! It is absolutely beautiful! It's approximately 3 - 4 inches long with heavy, dense strands of fibers. This wool is PERFECT for your primitive dolls! This fleece was completely full of vegetable matter and I have done my utmost to remove it all. I'm sure I've missed a few pieces (there was SOOOOO much!) and that's why I'm selling this wool for my normal price, BUT I'm selling it in ONE AND A HALF OUNCE bags!!! You'll be getting half again as much wool for the price of one ounce!!! I meticulously handwashed this wool one small batch at a time. It was a very time consuming job, but the results were well worth it! I used a special soap that left the wool super soft with a beautiful shine! This fleece generously fills a 10" x 6" ziplock bag, which is enough to use on SEVERAL dolls! This fleece is from a Black Lincoln ewe. It can be hand stitched in place, needlefelted, or even glued down. It is a beautiful fleece that you will be very pleased with!
