HeartStrings Embroidery
Hi Everyone. I began my machine embroidery career in April 1995 - which was before children and husband - but was an avid hand stitcher before that. After my second child was born in July 1997, I had to leave the job I loved so much (daycare was too expensive). I stayed up on what was going on in the embroidery world over the next few years with magazines and the internet. In 1999, my husband surprised me with a Viking Rose Embroidery Machine for Mother's Day. Not only that but he got me all the software that went with it (how great is that :). I felt like I was home again and have been hard at work ever since. I opened HeartStrings Embroidery almost immediately stitching for small businesses and friends and started offering machine embroidery designs through my website in 2001. I'm one of the lucky few in this world who have found their niche in life! I've worked in the embroidery field for over 16 years and still love it! I specialize in recreating hand embroidery, but on an embroidery machine! Redwork, line work, primitive samplers and antique stitcheries are my passion. Over the years I've been asked many, many times to offer my machine embroidery designs as hand patterns and now I'm thrilled to be able to now offer both the machine embroidery designs and the hand stitchery patterns! I am the proud mother of 4 wonderful children ages 15-8, 2 boys and 2 girls. They make sure that I don't sit still for long when they are not in school. We just recently relocated to Murrells Inlet, South Carolina and I am loving the ocean and beach being less than a mile away! My family enjoys camping and movie night. I love antiques and as my husband puts it, if it's 100 years old and smells bad - I want it! If you are interested in primitive machine embroidery designs, quilt blocks and redwork, I do hope you'll roam over to my website and look around. I've been blessed to work with many wonderful artists and have a fantastic library of machine embroidery designs & hand stitchery patterns. Happy Stitching & Prim Blessings Stephanie Some Graphic Contributions By: Trina Clark |
