Finished it measures 4" wide and 11" long and is super EASY to complete. I use lots of re-claimed wool from clothing I find at local thrift shops. Very basic supplies are needed and can be found at JoAnn Fabrics.

Penny rugs are so much fun to make. Prepare a bunch and stitch them easily while watching your favorite TV shows at night. A very relaxing craft. These make great gifts!

The design features a primitive old world Belsnickle Santa that wearing an antiqued gold wool felt suit that is trimmed with a darker tan edge to represent fur. He has moss green mittens and his outfit is decorated with small holly leaves and red French knot berries. His beard is tea stained cream wool felt and his mustache is cream floss. He carries an antiqued green tree decorated with small red penny circle berries. The backing is the same gold wool. I added a hang cord so you may place him on your tree or a peg hook.
