This curly scarlet wool is real Cotswold sheep wool that I've hand washed (with a special soap that left the wool super soft) and then hand-dyed a beautiful scarlet red color! It is so realistic looking because the tips are not dyed as deeply as the rest of the locks---they look like they've been highlighted!!! Each lock of this wool is approximately 3-5 inches long with a nice curl and soft fibers. This wool is PERFECT for your primitive and reborn dolls and ESPECIALLY for your Raggedy Annies! You will receive ONE FULL OUNCE of this beautiful hand-dyed wool---not a half ounce or even a quarter of an ounce like others sell! This wool is very light and generously fills a 10" x 6" zip lock bag, which is enough to use on SEVERAL dolls! I DO NOT RECOMMEND GETTING THIS WOOL WET. THE DYE IS SET, BUT RED DYES STILL LIKE TO RUN! This wool can be hand stitched in place, needle felted, or even glued down. It is wool that you will be very pleased with!
