It's approximately 4 to 7 inches long---with some of the shorter locks having a nice curly, crimp with soft, silky, fluffy fibers and the longer locks having perfectly straight, coarse fibers. This wool is PERFECT for your primitive witches, Santa's, and even Uncle Sam dolls! There is NO VEGETABLE MATTER in this wool because I meticulously handwashed it one small batch at a time. It was a very time consuming job, but the results were well worth it! I used a special soap that left the wool super soft with a beautiful shine! You will receive ONE FULL OUNCE of this gorgeous wool---not a half ounce like others sell! This wool is very light and generously fills a 10" x 6" ziplock bag, which is enough to use on SEVERAL dolls! This wool can be hand stitched in place, needlefelted, or even glued down. It is a wool that you will be very pleased with!
